Who doesn’t love corn dogs in the summer? They embody two of the most-loved summer foods: hot dogs and corn. And, they’re on a stick, so they’re super easy to eat! And, as it turns out, they’re not too hard to make yourself either! And you don’t even need a deep fryer, you can just make the corn dogs in a pot instead and fry them that way.
Ingredients:
3/4 cup yellow cornmeal
3/4 cup all purpose flour
1.5 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp sugar
1/2 tsp salt
1/8 tsp nutmeg
3/4 cup buttermilk
2 eggs
4 hot dogs
all purpose flour, for rolling
vegetable or peanut oil, for frying
